Fight over woman ends in murder
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Rivalry between two brothers over a relationship with a married woman ended in murder Elekyatanahalli of Nelamangala taluk. The younger brother, Naveen (22), allegedly killed his elder brother, Nagesh (25), before fleeing the scene.
The brothers, who are cousins from Sandkunte village and employees of different private companies, had been vying for the attention of a married woman.
Their competition turned violent, leading to a fatal altercation. On Thursday night around 8 o'clock, Naveen reportedly called Nagesh to Elekyatanahalli. The two, under the influence of alcohol, began to argue, and the confrontation escalated.
Naveen allegedly stabbed Nagesh in the chest with a sharp object. Despite calling an ambulance, Nagesh succumbed to his injuries before help arrived. Following the incident, the Dabaspet police launched a manhunt and eventually apprehended Naveen.
During interrogation, he confessed to the crime. Bengaluru Rural Superintendent of Police CK Baba visited the crime scene. A case has been registered at the Dabaspet Police Station.
