Compassion: Ramalinga Reddy offers employment letters to 250 dependents of BMTC employees

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: In an effort to assist families of its deceased employees, the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) held a ceremony on Monday, to give away appointment letters on compassionate grounds.

The event was chaired by Ramalinga Reddy, Minister of Transport and Muzrai, who congratulated the recipients and praised BMTC’s commitment to supporting its employees’ families.

In recent months, BMTC has appointed approximately 250 dependents to Class-3 and Class-4 positions based on seniority and available vacancies. Despite the high demand for roles such as drivers and conductors, most dependents prefer positions like Junior Assistants or Data Entry Operators, constraining BMTC’s ability to address all vacant positions.

BMTC is recruiting for 48 positions, including KST Constable, Technical Assistant and Office Attender, under compassionate grounds. The ceremony was attended by senior BMTC officials, including Managing Director Ramachandran R.
