Crane breakdown causes traffic woes in HSR layout

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Peakhour traffic on the service road between 5th Main Road and 14th Main Road in HSR Layout, Bengaluru, became slow-moving early Tuesday after a crane broke down.

The crane, employed in constructing Namma Metro's Blue Line (Outer Ring Road-Airport) by Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), occupied one lane of the two-lane service road. This road is commonly used by BMTC buses (500 series) and private vehicles, as reported.

Traffic from Ragigudda and Silk Board towards Iblur slowed significantly, especially between 8:30 am and 10 am. The police attributed this slowdown to a technical snag.

The officer further noted that the main carriageway of the Outer Ring Road remained unaffected, allowing vehicles to continue moving smoothly.
