Lover kills foetus; woman appeals to PM against 'police inaction'
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: A woman from Magadi has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking action against her lover, who she claims killed their foetus, and against the police for their alleged inaction.
In her letter, the woman accuses her boyfriend, Dayananda (23), of causing the death of their foetus and alleged that the Ramanagara police station, where she filed her complaint, did nothing.
She also stated that she has been struggling to get justice for the past four months and warned that she will commit suicide in front of the Superintendent of Police's office if her demands are not met.
The woman, who has been separated from her husband for five years, met Dayananda while working as a nurse. She believed he intended to marry her, and they engaged in a sexual relationship.
Upon discovering her pregnancy, Dayananda allegedly forced her to abort the foetus and has since been incommunicado. The woman has accused him of foeticide and is seeking legal action. She asserts that the police ignored her case and failed to hold Dayananda accountable.
