Another plaint to Guv against Siddaramaiah emerges
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: It came to light on Tuesday that a Mysuru-based activist has filed a complaint with Kar nataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, alleging illegal de-notification of lands, which were allotted to the poor back in 2008.
The complaint was made by one Snehamayi Krishna on August 2, demanding action against Siddaramaiah and officials who were involved through Mysuru Deputy Commissioner (DC) G Lakshmikantha Reddy. This is the second complaint registered with the Governor against the CM.
The first one was by Bengaluru-based activist TJ Abraham. It had to do with Siddaramaiah’s wife Parvati purportedly receiving 14 plots of far greater value in lieu of land she lost in Kesare village on the outskirts of Mysuru to Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA).
It had led to Gehlot issuing a notice against Siddaramaiah demanding that he explain his role in the alleged scam, which was seen as a precursor to granting of sanction to prosecute the CM.
The latest complaint alleges that plots in Uttanahalli on the outskirts of Mysuru meant for ‘Ashraya’ houses were asked to be denotified on the directions of Siddaramaiah on August 10, 2008, which finally happened on October 13, 2009.
