Three killed in Nelamangala tempo-lorry collision

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: In an accident on the Bengaluru-Tumakuru National Highway 75, near Kuluvenahalli of Nelamangala town, three people were killed when a lorry collided with a tempo from behind.

The deceased have been identified as Narasappa aged 35, a resident of Yadgiri district, Hussainappa aged 34, a labourer, and Shivagangappa aged 55 from Seethakallu village in Tumakuru district, who were standing on the road.

The lorry struck the tempo while it was trying to turn on the highway with a concrete mixer trolley attached. Lakshmi Ananthappa, Bhanupriya, Nagaraju, and two children in the vehicle escaped with no injuries. Sabanna, Kattappa, and Bangarappa sustained serious injuries and are receiving treatment at a private hospital in Nelamangala.
