Siddu to move HC over Muda 'scam'
New Delhi: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has decided to file a plea in the Karnataka High Court (HC) on Monday against Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot’s decision to sanction persecution against him in the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) case.
The Opposition’s allegation is that Siddaramaiah’s wife Parvati received 14 plots of much greater value in Mysuru’s Vijayanagar locality in lieu of land she lost to MUDA on the outskirts of the city. Gehlot had granted the sanction on Saturday.
Siddaramaiah on Sunday held a meeting with his legal advisor and Congress MLA from Virajpet AS Ponnanna at his residence Kaveri.
He decided to approach the High Court and has even considered moving the Supreme Court. Moreover, the Congress high command has thrown their weight behind Siddaramaiah. (PTI)
