Cong attacks BJP, RTI activists over 'false propaganda' against CM's wife Parvathi

Mysuru, NT Bureau: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) spokesman R Lakshman has condemned BJP leaders for engaging in 'false propaganda' against the CM's wife Parvathi over the alleged Muda scam. Speaking to reporters, he denied the allegations of both BJP and RTI activists that the CM's wife had distorted documents in her appeal submitted to Muda demanding alternative sites.

On union minister HD Kumaraswamy allegations that over 62 cases are pending against Siddaramaiah, he said all these cases related to administrative issues of his government like not repairing schools, bad roads and civic related issues.

According to him, Lokayukta Justice Vishwanth Shetty has clarified that he has asked his officials to remove such cases against the CM. Lakshman also criticised Governor Thawarchand Gehlot for issuing the prosecution order against Siddaramaiah within eight hours of receiving a complaint.

Though the Lokayukta has sought the Governor's nod for prosecution against H D Kumaraswamy, BJP leaders Murugesh Nirani, Shashikala Jolle and Janardhan Reddy, he has not shown the same enthusiasm, he alleged
