Every govt school must have a library: MP Yaduveer
Member of Parliament Yaduveer Krishnadutta Chamaraja Wadiyar on Monday said that every government school must have a library compulsorily as such a measure helps advancement of knowledge among students. He was speaking after inaugurating the 100th library set up by Kalisu Foundation at Government Higher Primary School at Kumbarakoppal in the city. The MP said it is the duty of government and non-governmental organizations to create a conducive learning atmosphere in schools to encourage students.
These measures are a must to ensure quality education for students, he said. The MP said that he is associated with Kalisu Foundation as its brand ambassador in the last nine years, and appreciated the foundation for opening such libraries for the benefit of government school children in rural remote areas of the state. Yaduveer also interacted with students and answered various questions related to his school education, improvement of quality education in government schools, necessity of technological applications, and improvement of skills among people.
Chief executive officer and founder of the Kalisu Foundation Nikhilesh said that his foundation is striving hard to improve the quality of education in government schools in rural remote areas by opening libraries. A total of 3450 books related to arts, literature, culture, science and technology have been provided in the foundation libraries.
