Class 12 student raises Rs 4 lakh for green initiative in Bengaluru schools
A Class 12 student from Tanglin Trust School in Singapore has raised over Rs 4 lakh for the 'Green Future Bengaluru' project, demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainability. This initiative, conducted in collaboration with the Embassy Group, impacted over 600 students across five government schools: Bettahalasuru High School, Bettahalasuru Primary School, Tarahunise, Hunsemaranahalli, and Sonappanahalli.
The project focused on waste management and water conservation. It introduced vital infrastructure, including dry and wet waste bins, composting units, and reusable cloth bags to encourage effective waste segregation. Faucet aerators were installed in two schools to promote water conservation.
These efforts align with the Embassy Group's mission to enhance educational environments and foster responsibility. Master Dishan, the student leading the project, said, "The project allows me to combine my passion for gardening with my desire to make a positive impact.''
