Citizens’ entry into Soudhas, MS Building restricted

The entry of citizens to both Vidhana Soudha and Vikas Soudha in Bengaluru has been restricted with immediate effect in view of the sudden rise in Corona and omicron cases in the State.

Chief Secretary P. Ravikumar, in a press release here on Wednesday, said the general public visiting the two power centers and MS Building and officers working in these buildings should have taken two doses of the vaccination compulsorily. They must possess an e-copy of the certificate of vaccination to be shown at the time of entry into those buildings. However, general visits by citizens has been restricted with immediate effect, he added.

The CS said officers and staff members who work in the secretariat must possess a certificate of having taken both doses of the vaccine. Those who fail to attend office without a valid certificate of vaccination would be considered to be on leave without pay. Entry passes would be issued to the visiting public only after checking if they have taken two doses of the vaccine. The police have been asked to prevent congregation of people in the corridors and floors of Vidhana Soudha, Vikas Soudha and MS Building
