Leopard on the flyover...in bustling Electronic City!

NT Correspondent Bengaluru: A leopard was spotted in Bengaluru early Tuesday morning, crossing a flyover near a toll plaza. It was seen at 3:00 a.m. in Bengaluru's Electronic City, a hub for many tech companies. The area is now on a high alert following the sighting. While Speaking with News Trail, a forest official said, “We have not yet traced it, but we are making every effort to find its footprints. We reviewed the CCTV footage, but it is not very clear whether the animal is a leopard or another animal. We will conduct a more in-depth analysis soon.” The leopard was captured on CCTV at the Phase 1 toll plaza, where it was seen crossing the road before running back in the opposite direction.

It is reported to have moved from the Panak India Company area to the Nettur Technical Training Foundation (NTTF) ground. Sunil Joshi, Principal of NTTF, stated, “We received an update that a leopard had passed near the compound wall. Precautionary checks were carried out on the campus. Forest department officials later confirmed that no leopard was found. The camera image indicated movement from the compound wall, so we took the necessary precautions.” Joshi added that the campus has been checked including rooms and CCTV footage, with no further trace of the leopard found. The leopard was last seen walking near the pathway next to the compound.
