Cauvery water supply paused for Stage V tests on Saturday

Bengaluru, NT Bureau: Cauvery water supply under Phase 2 will be affected for 9 hours on Saturday (September 21) due to preemptive tests of Cauvery Stage V in the western part of the city, the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) announced on Thursday. The much-delayed Cauvery Stage V may finally see some progress toward implementation, after the BWSSB failed to launch the project as promised on August 20. The tests will take place at the Hegganahalli service station. The 700mm pipelines dedicated to Phase V will connect to the main service station.

Water supply will be paused from 1 PM to 10 PM. The areas affected will include: North West 1: Subramanyanagar, Gayatri Nagar, Mahalakshmi, Rajajinagar 1st to 6th stage, Nandini Layout, Goraguntepalya, and surrounding areas. North West 2: Peenya Industrial Area, Chokkasandra, HMT Layout, Peenya First Stage, and surrounding areas.

North West 3: MEI Layout, Bagaluguente, Mallasandra, Dasarahalli, Ramaiah Layout, and surrounding areas. North West 4: Hegganahalli, Herohalli, Sunkadakatte, Srinivasa Nagar, and surrounding areas. North West 5: AGB Layout, Chikkasandra, Kirloskar Layout, and surrounding areas. West 1 Division: KP Agrahara, Vidyaranyanagar, Thimmanahalli, West of Chord Road, Mudalapalya, Shivanahalli, Kaveripura, Ranganathapura, and surrounding areas.
