IndiGo launches daily direct flights between Bengaluru and Jeddah

NT Correspondent Bengaluru: IndiGo has announced the launch of daily direct flights between Bengaluru and Jeddah, starting on September 30. This new service caters to business, leisure, and religious travellers, offering versatile travel options and enhancing connectivity between India and Saudi Arabia. These direct flights aim to strengthen economic ties between the two nations, providing seamless access for businesses operating in both regions. Jeddah, a key gateway for pilgrims travelling to Mecca for Hajj and Umrah, makes this route particularly beneficial for religious travellers.

The move aligns with India’s broader strategy to boost flight connections to the Middle East, promoting tourism, cultural exchange, and economic growth. Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed excitement about the launch, stating, "We are thrilled to introduce daily direct flights between Bengaluru and Jeddah, fostering opportunities for cultural and business exchange. With this new service, Jeddah will connect to six destinations in India through 49 weekly flights, offering travellers more options.
