Victim's counsel in HC: Man in video Prajwal Revanna

NT Correspondent Bengaluru: The Forensics Science Laboratory (FSL) report confirms that the man sexually assaulting a woman is former JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna based on the audio and video samples, the victim’s counsel told Karnataka High Court (HC) on Thursday. A single-member bench of Justice M Nagaprasanna was hearing the bail petition filed by Prajwal. He heard arguments from both sides before reserving his verdict. The counsel was referring to the sexual assault case registered at KR Nagar Police Station. “In this case, for the first time, he has been caught on video. He was not as well guarded as he was in the other cases. His voice is recorded.

While the accused took a defense that it was a consensual act, the audio projected the victim’s protest, rejection, shout and agony,” the special public prosecutor said. “The more aggravating factor is that the lady was under his control and he was dominating. She was double the age of perpetrator, if not more. It was this lady who was abducted, once just before elections (Lok Sabha) and then after the elections," the prosecutor added. The video is one of several that flooded Hassan in the form of pen drives in the lead up to the Lok Sabha elections.
