Wolverhampton, BCU launch research & innovation centre
Bengaluru, NT Bureau: A team of scholars from the University of Wolverhampton, led by Prof. Prashant Pillai, Pro Vice-Chancellor, visited Bengaluru City University (BCU) on October 1, 2024. They engaged in discussions with BCU Vice-Chancellor Dr. Lingaraja Gandhi, Registrar (Adm) S. Javare Gowda, Registrar (Evaluation) Dr. Anand Kumar, and other university officials. This visit follows the extension of an existing MoU during Dr Gandhi’s visit to Wolverhampton in March 2024, aiming to enhance collaboration for another three years. The discussions focused on interdisciplinary research, new-age education, and student and faculty exchange programmes. Both institutions agreed to establish the “Wolverhampton-Bengaluru Research & Innovation Centre” at BCU, which will focus on initiatives such as “Net Zero Carbon Emission” and the “Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission.”
