Youth killed over old feud; accused shot and arrested
Hubli, NT Bureau: Police shot and arrested the accused in the case of a brutal killing of a youth in the city. Sudeep and Kiran were accused of murder. A young man named Shivraj Kammara was killed in the Ashok Nagar Police Station area late at night. The accused were arrested at 6 o'clock when the murder took place. While being taken to the old Hubli area to show the other two accused in the murder case, the arrested accused attacked the police and tried to escape. Sudeep and Kiran were immediately shot in the leg. They were admitted to the hospital. Police Commissioner N Shashikumar visited the hospital to gather information. Last night, two murder accused in the murder case of a young man named Shivraj were arrested at Gopanakoppa Junction in Hubballi. The two accused said they would cooperate in finding the others.
When they went to find the other two accused in Old Hubli area, Kiran and Sudeep tried to escape, the Commissioner said. At this time, our old Hubli police shot the accused in the leg in self-defense. Our police personnel were also injured in the incident. All of them were admitted to the hospital. The family members complained that four people were involved in the murder. We will find the other accused. There is information that the reason for the murder was an old feud. However, the exact reason will be known after the investigation," he informed.
