Youth attacked with pepper spray near Hosahalli Metro Station

NT Correspondent Bengaluru: A disturbing incident unfolded near the Hosahalli Metro Station on Friday night, where a group of young men was attacked with pepper spray during an altercation with a gang of assailants who arrived on motorcycles. The attack occurred around 10:20 p.m. while the young men were conversing with young women when the assailants confronted them, leading to a violent clash. The gang members used pepper spray, incapacitating the young men and causing panic among bystanders at the metro station.

Local authorities were alerted, and the Govindaraja Nagar police arrived promptly to investigate. Witnesses reported that the altercation started when the gang provoked the young men, leading to chaos. Fortunately, the swift police response helped to control the situation and ensure the safety of those nearby. An FIR has been registered at Govindaraja Nagar Police Station. Authorities are reviewing surveillance footage from the metro station to identify the attackers and gather further evidence.
