Cong: ED raid on MUDA to scare Siddaramaiah

NT Correspondent Mysuru: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson M Lakshmana on Wednesday described the recent Enforcement Directorate (ED) raid on the MUDA office as one intended to target Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, to 'scare' him. Addressing a press conference, Lakshmana claimed that during the two-day raid, ED officials took away a majority of files related to the allotment of 14 sites to the CM's wife B M Parvathi, which he claims was intended to target Siddaramaiah. As the ED raided the MUDA office at a time when an inquiry by a commission constituted by the government is underway, his party will question the ED's role, the Congress leader said. He accused ED officials of forcefully obtaining the signatures of MUDA officials after collecting the details.

He also alleged that whenever elections are declared like those to state assemblies the BJP government targets opposition leaders and the CM by misusing the ED, IT and other central enforcement agencies. People will teach a lesson to the BJP and NDA partners in the ongoing assembly polls in Maharashtra and Jharkhand, he added.
