Druvanarayan: Only top leaders will participate in padayatra on first day

Mysuru: Hitting out at the BJP government , KPCC working president Mr R Druvanarayan said, that though there are a large number of Covid cases in other states too, they have not gone to the extent of imposing stringent Covid guidelines like night curfew. This clearly indicates the malicious intentions of the BJP government to prevent the Congress padayatra on the Mekedatu issue.
The padayatra will not be scrapped but only senior leaders will participate on the first day, he said while speaking to media persons in Mysuru on Friday.
He also said that, the poor people especially daily wage workers are already in trouble and if the state government does not withdraw the weekend curfew, these people will face more hardship.
Commenting on the PM’s security breach in Punjab, Mr Druvanarayan asserted that the PM returned from Punjab, to avoid addressing empty chairs at the convention venue. Making the Dalit CM of Punjab responsible for this is illogical, he said.
