Young boy abducted amid family dispute

NT Correspondent Davangere: Railway Police have arrested Tarun for the abduction of his three-year-old nephew, following family tensions stemming from his older sister’s alleged illicit relationship. Tarun was reportedly frustrated with his sister’s ongoing affair with a man in Bengaluru, which he believed was damaging the family's reputation. Despite Tarun’s pleas to her to end the relationship, she continued, prompting him to take drastic action. In a fit of anger, Tarun abducted the child, prompting concern in the boy’s mother. She immediately alerted the police about her missing son, setting off a swift response from the Bengaluru police. They learned that the child was traveling on the Nizamuddin Express train, and promptly informed the Davanagere Railway Police. As the train approached Davanagere, Inspector AK Reddy and officers Shivanand, Amit, and Bindu Madhuri were deployed to investigate the situation.

They conducted thorough checks on the passengers as the Nizamuddin Express arrived. Upon exiting the train, Tarun and the child were intercepted by the police, who ensured the boy’s safety and apprehended the suspect. This swift action highlights the commitment of law enforcement to resolve such family disputes and protect vulnerable children from potential harm. The family had been experiencing turmoil for some time, with relatives expressing concern about the sister’s choice and the impact on her child’s wellbeing.
