
Presidency varsity launches 'Ride Safe Revolution'
NT Correspondent Bengaluru: In response to Bengaluru's persistent traffic issues and increasing road accidents, Presidency University in Yelahanka has initiated the 'Ride Safe Revolution' campaign to promote safe driving among students. The campaign kicked off with various activities, including a bike rally where participants showcased proper driving gear and a street play highlighting the dangers of reckless driving.
Rajanukunte Police Station’s SHO, Dilip Kumar, participated in the event, delivering a strong message on road safety. He emphasised the value of every life on the road and the importance of wearing helmets to prevent accidents. The campaign also addressed issues such as drunk driving and drug use. Pro Vice-Chancellor Dhananjaya Madiraju and other officials shared personal experiences related to accidents, stressing the devastating impact on families. Additionally, students have formed a club dedicated to road safety initiatives, including carpooling, first-aid training, and awareness campaigns on social media.
