A five year old boy was injured when miscreants blocked and attacked the car he was travelling in with his family. The incident took place on Wednesday night in Parappana Agrahara police station limits. The two bike-borne thugs attacked the family near Kasavanahalli Amrita College after following them on a bike as they were returning after Diwali shopping. The accused blocked the car of Anoop and his two children near Amrita College, said police sources who added that Anoop got worried and drove away without opening the window.
The rowdies then hit the rear window of the car with a stone leaving the five-year-old with serious head injuries. Police said that when Anoop's wife screamed, the accused escaped. Anoop, the father of the injured child, said: “When my family and I were returning home, two people came on a bike and stopped our car. When we asked what was going on, they went on without saying anything. They followed us and stopped the car.
They wanted us to get out of the car. When we refused, one of the accused took a stone and hit the back window injuring our child. He was immediately admitted to a nearby hospital, and a case was registered at Parappana Agrahara police station.''
