Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee ( KPCC) spokesperson M Lakshmana on Sunday urged BJP leaders to release all supporting documents, including the list of beneficiaries who have all obtained sites under the controversial 50:50 site allotment scheme in Muda. Speaking to reporters here, he referred to BJP leaders' allegation of a Rs 5000 crore scam occurring in Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) and dared them to release supporting documents related to their allegation. He also demanded that they submit all their documents to the state Lokayukta, which is probing the Muda scam.
The law on distributing sites on a 50: 50 basis to beneficiaries was introduced by the BJP government not by the Congress, he asserted. People will also come to know who were the beneficiaries of such sites including those in the BJP, JD(S) and Congress, he said adding that the only intention of the BJP is to malign the image of CM Siddaramaiah, who has successfully running the government.
Lakshmana also criticized Krishnaraja BJP MLA T S Srivatsa for seeking 'cheap publicity' and for claiming credit after Siddaramaiah gave directions to state urban development secretary Deepa Cholan to cancel the 50: 50 site allotment in Muda. He slammed Union Minister of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Pralhad Joshi over his remarks on the CM and accused the minister of failing to secure justice for the state from the Centre over Karnataka's tax devolution share and in bringing projects to the state.
Joshi is keeping mum on 'groupism' in his party even as leaders like Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, Ramesh Jarkiholi, Kumara Bangarappa, and other rebel leaders are holding secret meetings. The Union minister is day dreaming of become CM of the state, he said.
