Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday said that there is no proposal for lifting the night ban on traffic through Bandipur reserve forest adding that it has not even come up for discussion at any meeting. Replying to a query on the statement of Deputy CM DK Shivakumar regarding lifting the night traffic ban, the CM said that he had no information about the context in which Shivakumar had issued the statement, Referring to BJP leaders' allegations about a move for four cent reservation for Muslims in civil contract work in the state, the CM said some Muslim community leaders had approached him seeking the four per cent quota in contract work.
But his government has not yet thought over this, he asserted. On the Enforcement Directorate's investigation into the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (Muda) scam, the CM refused to comment saying the ED, Lokayukta and other probe agencies are conducting the investigation against him based on a 'false complaint.' He also denied any move for a cabinet reshuffle. There is a demand from party MLAs to re induct B. Nagendra who had to quit the cabinet over Valmiki Corporation scam allegatons.
