A tragic fire at an electric bike showroom in Rajajinagar claimed the life of a 20-yearold woman on Tuesday evening. The blaze, suspected to have been caused by a short circuit, broke out around 5:30 pm at the showroom located on Rajkumar Road. The fire spread rapidly through the premises, causing panic among employees and customers. The victim, identified as Priya, was an employee at the showroom. While five other staff members managed to escape, Priya was tragically trapped inside as the fire engulfed the building. Despite the swift response of fire and emergency services, Priya's body was discovered in the debris after the firefighters extinguished the flames. Firefighters used two fire engines to control the blaze, which posed additional dangers due to the presence of electric bike batteries in the showroom.

Authorities were concerned about the potential for explosions and evacuated nearby residents as a precaution, cordoning off the area to ensure public safety. Priya's body was sent to the hospital for a postmortem examination, and an investigation has been initiated to determine the exact cause of the fire. While a short circuit is believed to be the cause, further details are still being gathered.
