BBMP to hold weekly 'Adalat' to resolve property tax issues

In a bid to address issues related to the payment of property taxes to the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), a revenue "Adalat" will be held every Wednesday, BBMP Special Commissioner for Revenue Munish Moudgil announced on Friday. Revenue officials have been directed to hold adalats every Wednesday between 10 am and 2 pm. It is ensured that grievances submitted by the public are addressed and resolved.

The BBMP has also rolled out a series of public grievance meetings, beginning with the zonal visit of Tushar Girinath, the BBMP Chief Commissioner. Ward-level meetings have also been introduced in recent months. All Zonal Joint Commissioners, Zonal Deputy Commissioners (Revenue), Revenue Officers, and Assistant Revenue Officers will be instructed to sit and receive complaints in their offices. A progress review meeting with the Chief Commissioner will be held every Monday
