Bitcoin-struck Bommai: Will sacrifice anyone

Bengaluru: Putting up a brave face after coming under severe criticism that the Bitcoin scam transfers had occured when he was home minister, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai declared that his government is ‘ready to sacrifice anyone involved’ and challenged the Congress to name the ‘influential people’ responsible.

After paying tribute to former prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru on his birth anniversary, the CM said: “It was our government which recommended that the ED and CBI should probe the case.” Reacting to questions raised by Congress general secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala, Bommai quipped, “If the case had a Karnataka connect since 2016(when the Congress was in power) why did they not probe the case then?”.
