Kumaraswamy slams Shivakumar over Hassan district comment

Hassan: Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy on Monday hit back against Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar’s suggestion that Devegowda’s family had contributed nothing to Hassan district. JD(S) patriarch HD Devegowda is from Haradanahalli village of Holenarasipur taluk in the district and is a five-time Hassan MP. His son HD Revanna is the Holenarasipur MLA. “I know exactly what Congress leaders have contributed. Didn't they release CDs? Is that Congress' only contribution to Hassan? What else have they done? If Hassan has seen any development, it is because of Deve Gowda and me during our tenure as Chief Ministers and Revanna besides.

I have fulfilled my responsibilities sincerely. What have they done? They couldn’t even complete the flyover in Hassan, which speaks volumes about their incompetence,” Kumaraswamy told mediapersons in Haradanahalli. He was referring to Congress allegedly releasing scores of videos in pen drives which purportedly showed imprisoned JD(S) leader and Kumaraswamy’s nephew Prajwal Revanna sexually assaulting women. “If we had looted public property and built hills of evidence, they could have shown it.

Instead, there is proof that they have looted public wealth, government property, and even natural resources. Where can we find mountains of evidence against us when we haven’t done anything wrong?” Kumaraswamy responded to Shivakumar’s allegations of corruption against the Gowda clan.
