Triple murder at Jalahalli Cross; accused surrenders

Bengaluru: A triple murder has taken place in the capital, shocking the city. The murder of a mother and her two children came to light on Wednesday evening at a house near Jalahalli Cross. The accused, Gangaraju, has surrendered to the police. Gangaraju's wife, Bhagyamma (38), his daughter Navya (19) and Bhagyamma's niece Hemavati (22) are the victims. It is suspected that the man killed the three, including his wife, due to a family dispute.

Gangaraju allegedly killed the three by striking them with a machete. All three bodies were found in one room. The Peenya police station visited the spot and took further action. Sharing information about this, Additional Police Commissioner Vikas Kumar Vikas said the information was received on the 112 emergency helpline at 5 pm on Wednesday. Hoysala personnel arrived at the scene and inspected it.

It came to be known that three women had been murdered. The murder was committed by Gangaraju, who works as a home guard in Hebbagodi. After committing the murders, he went to the police station with the weapon and surrendered. Originally from Nelamangala, Gangaraju had been living in the rented house for the past six years. An inquiry will be conducted to determine the motive, he said.
