BDA recovers 17 guntas land worth Rs 35 cr in South B’luru

Bengaluru: The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has recovered sites earmarked for civic amenities at Banashankari 2nd Stage in an operation conducted on Thursday. Unauthorized sheds and scrap vehicles which were dumped on Survey number 15/1 at Kathriguppe in Banashankari 2nd Stage, Uttarahalli Hobli of Bangalore South Taluk, were demolished and 18513 sq. feet of land were recovered.
It is learnt that the properties recovered are worth Rs 35 crore. The demolition operation was carried out by the BDA Task Force under the guidance of the Superintendent of Police, BDA, Executive Engineer, Assistant Executive Engineer, West Division and BDA task force with the active co-operation & assistance of the local Police Force.
167 sites allotted via randomisation- As part of its compensation to those who sought residence at Arkavathy Layout, the BDA had allotted 167 sites in Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layouts as alternates via a randomization process on Thursday. As many as 18 sites measuring 6x9 meters in dimension, 133 sites of 9x12 meters, 11 sites of 12x18 meters and 5 sites of 15x24 meters have been allotted.
