Four stolen two-wheelers recovered, two arrested

Bengaluru: On January 26, residents of Nataraj Layout, JP Nagar 7th Phase, near the Puttanahalli Police Station, filed a complaint regarding the theft of a two-wheeler. According to the complaint, the vehicle had been parked in front of the complainant’s house on the night of January 21. However, when checked the following morning, the vehicle was missing, leading to the filing of a theft report at the Puttanahalli Police Station. Following a detailed investigation, the police gathered crucial information from the suspects and other sources.
On January 28, they arrested two individuals in the JP Nagar 6th Phase area, near the Jarganahalli Park, where they had been found with the stolen two-wheeler. Upon interrogation, the suspects admitted to stealing the vehicle and revealed that they had stolen three other two-wheelers from various locations in Bengaluru. Based on the information provided by the suspects, the police recovered three more stolen two-wheelers from a vacant plot behind Lakshmi Temple on January 28. In total, four two-wheelers worth approximately Rs. 2,10,000 were seized. The suspects were connected to three theft cases in Puttanahalli Police Station’s jurisdiction and one case in the JP Nagar Police Station. On January 29, the arrested individuals were presented before the court, which remanded them in judicial custody.
The operation was conducted under the guidance of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Division, Bengaluru, and led by the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Subramanyapura Sub-Division. The case was successfully solved by the team, including officers from the Konanakunte Police Station.
