FIR filed against former MP Pratap Simha over ‘hate speech’

Mysuru: Udayagiri police have registered an FIR against former MP Pratap Simha for his alleged hate speech, following a complaint by Syed Abrar, president of the Mysuru City District Youth Congress Committee. According to police officials, Syed Abrar accused Simha of making derogatory remarks about the Muslim community, claiming that he spoke about them in a poor light and alleged that they were focusing on increasing their population.

The comments were reportedly made during a media interaction a day after the Udayagiri violence. In his complaint, Abrar urged the police to take serious action against Simha, accusing him of making provocative statements that could incite people. He also requested that a case be registered against the former MP for issuing such remarks.
