Vijayendra to participate in Mysuru protest defying prohibitory orders today

Mysuru: BJP state president BY Vijayendra will attend the 'Mysuru Chalo' event organised by right-wing activists to condemn the recent Udayagiri station stone pelting incident. The police have denied permission for the event but the organisers said they will defy the ban and take out the march to Udayagiri. Meanwhile, City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar on Sunday denied permission to Rashtra Suraksha Janandolan Committee to take out the rally in which Vijyayendra and other BJP leaders are participating.

City police have also banned the counter protest planned by Gandhinagar Dalit Mahasabha and District Youth Congress Committee Anticipating law and order problems, police not only banned protests but also clamped prohibitory orders around the protest sites from the midnight of Sunday, February 23 till the midnight of February 24.
