14 held for wheeling with swords, booked as rowdies

Bengaluru: The DJ Halli police arrested 14 youths on charges of brandishing swords while riding motorbikes and opened a rowdy sheet against them. Following their arrest, the police registered an FIR and immediately opened rowdy sheets against each accused at DJ Halli Police Station. The incident occurred during Shab-e-Baraat when a group of youths recklessly rode their motorbike from DJ Halli to Hoskote and back brandishing swords, triggering panic among passersby.

As per police, the group, led by Nayeem Pasha, Arafat, Sahil, Adnan, Nanjammadh, Asif, Sameer, Zubair, Rehan, Hussain, Junaid, Ayaan, and Aftab, performed stunts on seven bikes while wielding lethal weapons. Authorities confirmed that the gang not only violated traffic rules but also challenged public safety and law enforcement by riding dangerously through busy streets. The parents of the accused were summoned and issued stern warnings.

The police made them sign bonds ensuring that their children would refrain from such activities in future. This incident has highlighted the growing concern of youth engaging in risky stunts and public nuisance, prompting the authorities to take stringent action to maintain law and order in the city.
