Udupi: Four Naxalites produced in court following recent arrests

Udupi: Four recently apprehended Naxalites were presented before the Karkala JMFC court on Tuesday amid tight security. The individuals, identified as Marappa (Jayan), Latha (Mundgaru Latha), Vanajakshi (Jyoti), and Sundari (Geetha, Jennie), were brought in from the Bengaluru Parappana Agrahara Central Jail under tight security. The Naxalites are alleged to be linked to the murder cases of Bhaskar Shetty in Seethanadi, Hebri, and Sadashiv Gowda in Kabbinahole.

Investigations related to the charges filed against them across the Karkala Rural, Hebri, and Ajekaru police station jurisdictions are currently ongoing, according to sources. The responsibility of presenting the arrested Naxalites in the Karkala court was undertaken by ASP Harsha Priyamvada.
