Bengaluru East station will be temporarily closed from March 13

Bengaluru: Bengaluru East station will be temporarily closed to passenger traffic from March 13 to allow for the dismantling of the current UP and DN line platforms and the installation of new tracks for the third and fourth lines. As a result, the stoppages for 41 trains at Bengaluru East station will be suspended until further notice. The trains affected by this closure include 15 express trains and 26 passenger/MEMU trains.

The express trains that will no longer stop at Bengaluru East include KSR Bengaluru-Bangarapet (Train No. 16522), Dr MGR Chennai Central-Mysuru (Train No. 16021), Tirupati-Chamarajanagar (Train No. 16220), Cuddalore Port-Mysuru (Train No. 16231), and Bhubaneswar-KSR Bengaluru (Train No. 18463), among others. Additionally, the passenger and MEMU trains impacted by this closure include KSR Bengaluru-Dharmavaram (Train No. 06595), KSR Bengaluru-Marikuppam (Train Nos. 66546, 66511, 66556), KSR Bengaluru-Kolar (Train No. 66591), and Sri Sathya Sai Prashanthi Nilayam-KSR Bengaluru (Train No. 66559), among others. Passengers travelling on these routes are advised to adjust their travel plans accordingly and consider using alternative stations such as Bengaluru Cantonment, KSR Bengaluru, or Baiyappanahalli.
