Akshavani Mysuru to hold 90th institution day event today

Mysuru: Akashvani Mysuru radio station incharge SS Umesh on Wednesday said the station has organized a series of programmes under 'Nudi Nada Sangama' as part of its 90th Institution Day celebrations on March 7. Speaking to reporters, he said a bicycle rally has been organized on the same day from Kote Anjaneyaswamy temple in the city.

Registrar of University of Mysore MK Savitha will inaugurate the inter-collegiate level cultural programme on the same day. Students of various colleges will exhibit their talent at the cultural event. Mahan Organization chief K S Gururaj will inaugurate the exhibition organized as part of the celebrations. A folklore event in which various folklore troupes will showcase their talent has been organized in association with the department of Kannada and culture.

Director general of the news services division of Akashvani at New Delhi, Dr Pragya Paliwal Gaur will inaugurate the public programme on the same day. Suttur Mutt Seer Shivarathri Deshikendra Swami, Mysore royal family member Pramodadevi Wadiyar and senior Kannada research scholar Dr TV Venkatachalashastry will be the chief guests.
