The Bengaluru house- holds will be affixed with stickers from June 23 as proof of participation in the ongoing Scheduled Castes (SC) survey. BBMP Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao issued the directive on Sunday, aiming for full coverage in the state-wide initiative.

The survey, launched on May 5, by the Government of Karnataka, seeks to collect empirical data on the representation of 101 SCs in education and government services, a crucial step aiming to ensure social justice. Conducted by the Justice Nagamohan Das Commission, enumerators will visit SC households, affixing stickers upon completion of the survey.

Residents are urged to cooperate and provide accurate information, as well as not remove the stickers. Meanwhile, the government has extended the survey deadline to June 30, specifically to provide a final chance for SC families across the state, who have not been enumerated.

They can do so via Citizen Service Centres, dedicated camps at BBMP ward offices, or online self-declaration at https:// schedulecastesurvey.kar- nataka.gov.in/selfdeclaration. Public cooperation is vital for achieving 100 per cent completion in Bengaluru.
