On Sunday morning, people from diverse faiths gathered at Masjid-E-Noor in Bengaluru as part of the 'Visit My Mosque' initiative, organised by the Rahmath Group.
The event invited participants to meet, share and learn about what a mosque truly represents.
The initiative received an encouraging response, with several visitors from various communities taking time out to experience the atmosphere and spirit of the mosque.

News Trail was also invited to attend the event, where volunteers warmly welcomed every guest.
Visitors were given personalised guided tours, with volunteers walking them through the mosque and explaining various aspects of Islamic practice — including the ritual of ablution (wudhu), teachings from the Holy Quran, and the scientific benefits of salah or namaz (the daily prayers).
The day featured a series of engaging sessions, including an insightful talk by Mufti Suheb Usmani Qasmi on the principles and practices of Islam, a live demonstration of salah, a captivating narration, and a soulful recitation and explanation of verses from the Holy Quran.

Adding a creative touch, a short skit was performed to convey a powerful message about humanity and the importance of helping others without prejudice.
“In our religion too, Guru Nanak has said that when we help with our right hand, even our left hand must not know,” shared a visitor from the Sikh community, reflecting on the spirit of unity expressed at the event.
Fr Victor Lobo SJ, Vice-Chancellor of St Joseph’s University, also attended the event.
A detailed Q&A session followed, encouraging visitors to ask questions and clarify any doubts they had about Islam.

Most attendees described their experience as enriching and heartwarming, with volunteers reporting overwhelmingly positive feedback.
“This place is beautiful, especially its architecture,” said Komal, a visitor who attended at a friend’s invitation.
“The volunteers were wonderful in explaining everything. I learned so much about the Quran and Islamic teachings. Interestingly, I discovered that just as we enter a temple with our right foot, Muslims follow the same practice, along with washing their hands and feet before prayer.” Another participant, Preetu, added, “I loved the spiritual meditation — it truly felt like connecting with ourselves and the Creator.”
Many visitors echoed similar sentiments, emphasising the need for more such interfaith experiences. “Events like this should happen more often. We need more opportunities for cross-religious dialogue and understanding,” remarked another guest.
