If you are looking for the perfect spot to dine where the food and vibes are great and the experience feels wonderfully niche, you will definitely find some incredible suggestions on jehad.kun's social media account. Jehad Kun is a Bengaluru-based digital creator and product designer who has built a thriving community of over 32,500 followers on Instagram. He seamlessly bridges the worlds of tech, pop culture, and lifestyle, carving out a unique space where sleek design aesthetics meet a deep love for anime and food culture.

Originally hailing from Mangaluru, Jehad uses his sharp eye for visuals to double as a local culinary guide. Far from being confined to screens and code, he uses high-production reels and curated posts to introduce his growing audience to hidden food gems and vibrant cafe spaces across the city, embodying the ultimate modern, multi-hyphenate creator who effortlessly blends professional expertise with regional lifestyle curation.

Tailored to every taste
Jehad primarily creates quirky, information-rich Instagram carousels. When asked how he manages to capture attention in an era dominated by short-form reels, he explained, “The carousels are content-heavy, but I honestly feel they get better engagement than my reels. I think that’s because they’re more believable and offer people multiple options to choose from instead of just one video.”

He believes his distinctive design style, “outrageous” opening hooks, and context-driven recommendations set his content apart. “You could say it’s part of the branding of my content,” he said. As his audience grew, followers began suggesting themes and situations for recommendations.

Creative outlet turned viral
“I am not a full-time content creator. I enjoy creating content, but it is something I do on the side for now,” Jehad told News Trail in an exclusive interview. An engineering graduate, he currently works as a design lead at a UK-based social care startup. His content creation journey began in 2025 after he casually posted a satirical Instagram carousel titled, "The perfect breakup spot in Bengaluru?". The post unexpectedly went viral, giving him the confidence to explore the format further.

“I realised there were plenty of Instagram posts recommending the best food spots in the city, but they often lacked context. I wanted to provide recommendations for every situation and purpose,” he said, adding that his posts are designed to be experiential guides rather than simple lists of places. He soon discovered that audiences responded well to his satirical style. “The more I leaned into satire, the more people loved it, so I just kept going,” he said.

“People slowly started giving me suggestions, so I began creating recommendations based on those as well, and it worked out really well. Many of them are personal, which makes them more relatable,” he said. Over time, he started identifying niche communities and curating recommendations around their specific interests, helping people discover restaurants for different occasions and moments suited to them.

Beyond the menu
Jehad said he has started creating recommendation content in Goa and plans to expand to destinations across India. “I will be creating pan-India recommendations of restaurants and interesting places,” he said. Beyond reviewing food and ambience, he hopes to tell the stories of the people behind every dining experience. “I want to focus on the people who make these places special — from waiters to chefs. I want to personalise my content by sharing their stories and highlighting the people who make it all happen, not just the food we eat,” he said.

One milestone that stands out for him was being invited by a brand to participate in a blind taste test before a product's launch in India. “I was so excited to be invited and be a part of it along with other food creators from Bengaluru,” he recalled. Jehad added that one of the most rewarding aspects of content creation is receiving appreciation from chefs and industry professionals. “I love it when chefs and restaurant staff react to my content because it reignites my goal of shining a spotlight on the industry and the people behind it,” he said, adding that interactions from fellow food creators are equally encouraging.

For aspiring food creators, Jehad Kun has a simple message: “Be proud of your content, but don't expect every meal to be free. Your content is worth what you're asking for — don't let others tell you
otherwise.”
