Bengaluru
Asian Hospital, a 50-bedded multi-speciality healthcare facility, will be inaugurated in Bengaluru on July 19. The hospital has been established with a focus on compassionate, ethical, affordable and high-quality medical care. The inaugural ceremony will be held at 10 am, Health and Family Welfare Minister U.T. Khader Fareed will inaugurate the hospital in the presence of Narasimharaja MLA Tanveer Aziz Sait and Shivajinagar MLA Rizwan Arshad.
Mufti Dr Mohamed Maqsood Imran Rashadi, Imam-o-Khateeb of City Jamia Masjid, Bengaluru, will attend as the guest of honour. Speaking ahead of the inauguration, Dr Vaseem Ahmed, Managing Director of Asian Hospital, said the hospital primarily aims to serve Bengaluru's middle-class population, which often finds itself caught between costly private healthcare and overcrowded public hospitals.
"There are two strong healthcare segments in Bengaluru - corporate hospitals and government hospitals. Corporate hospitals are not affordable to all, while government hospitals often face heavy footfall and other challenges. Nearly 80 per cent of Bengaluru's population belongs to the middle class, and this section needs quality healthcare at an affordable cost”, he said, Dr Ahmed said the hospital is committed to providing quality treatment at moderate prices without compromising on medical ethics or patient care.
"Our approach is completely patient-centric. We only recommend treatments that are genuinely required. We have instructed our consultants that their priority should be to provide the best, most ethical treatment. Doctors and medical staff should focus on patient care and not financial targets”, he added. The hospital is led by Dr Anees Ahmed, Chairperson, Dr Vaseem Ahmed, Managing Director, and Dr Suhyem Ahmed Aaqib, Executive Director.
