Sehaj’s brilliant rally downs fancied sixth seed Vaibhav

Bengaluru: Sehaj Singh  Pawar rallied skillfully  to send home the fancied  sixth seed Vaibhav Krishna and advance to the quarterfinals of the FSA AITA  under 18 Championship  Series Tennis Tournament at the Fortune Sports  Academy courts here on  Tuesday.

On a day where the organisers barely managed  to finish the first round  matches owing to incessant overnight rains, Sehaj  after losing the first set 2-6,  bounced back to take the  second set with a similar  margin before signing off  with a win in the super  tie-breaker at 10-8. In the  only other pre-quarterfinal  match that was possible,  fourth seed Sushanka Sridhar beat Sadu Revanth of  Andhra Pradesh 6-2, 6-3.  12 onward to the final.”
