Mysuru, Jan. 23 In a rare heart-warming incident, 85-year-old Mustafa and 65-year-old Fathima Begum entered into a wedlock, seeking companionship at the evening of their lives, at Ghousia nagar, in Udaygiri in Mysuru district.
Mustafa, a shepherd and a goat merchant, had nine children and all of them have been married off. His wife Khurshid Begum died two years ago.
Ever since, Mustafa was feeling lonely and decided to have a companion. He met Fathima, who lived in the area, and she too was alone. Mustafa felt she would be the right person to be his wife.
When Mustafa went to propose to Fathima, she did not say no. What is more, even his children agreed to his wish to get married again.
The big day was on Thursday, when the couple got married, with Nikha at their residence in front of family members including children and grand-children, followed by a biryani feast.
They underwent all the formalities, including registration of wedding. The elated couple were shy to express their feelings, but their content faces reflected their happiness.
