The vintage beauties included the Elegant Fiat, Premier Padmini, Premier 118, Land Rover, Ambassador Mark 1, Ambassador Mark 2, Ambassador Grand, Mini Cooper, Contessa, Willys and Volkswagen Beetle.

The rally was flagged off at the Nalpak Notel in Kanakadas Nagar of the heritage city and it culminated at the Lalitmahal Palace.

Speaking to News Trail, Pavan Kumar, an entrepreneur who owns a Premier Padmini and is part of the Mysore Vintage & Classic Car group, said that they have as many as 22 members including doctors, engineers, businessmen and others in their Mysuru group. “It is tough to get spare parts of old cars, and even maintenance is not easy. Yet, we continue to keep them mainly for the passion we have towards these iconic cars. Due to Covid the rally was not held over the past two years. We are happy to have been able to conduct it this year,” he said.
