Namaz at Majestic station: Hindu outfit protests

NT Correspondent

Bengaluru: Members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti on Monday started a campaign objecting to a prayer hall at Bengaluru railway station. They barged into the hall and submitted a memorandum to the DRM saying resting rooms of workers had been converted into a Muslim place of worship. The Samiti said, “It is highly condemnable that the resting room has been converted into a place of prayer at platform number 5 at the station. This is a threat to national security.’’

But railway officials said the prayer hall has existed for several years.
