Cop fixes ambulance tyre, saves life in Bengaluru

Here is one cop who could improve the slipping image of the police after the recent towing incidents where they came in for flak from citizens.
The constable became a mechanic to help a patient stuck in an ambulance and succeeding in sending him to the hospital before the crucial ‘golden hour’ was over.
It happened near the CID office on Palace Road after one of the ambulance tyres got punctured. The family called 10 ambulances but did not get a response.
Kasappa Kalloor then rushed to help the patient on oxygen support.
“I took the wheel spanner from the driver and changed the tyre. Somebody made a video and posted it on WhatsApp,” the cop explained. Dr B.R. Ravikanthe Gowda, JCP, Traffic gave him a certificate of appreciation.
