
Substandard gold: Four arrested
Bengaluru: A gang of four fraudsters who were selling substandard gold using fake hallmarks, to make it appear as pure gold, have been arrested by Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths. The arrested are identified as Rajesh H. Bosle, 44, Ajay Kantilal Kadam, 19, Akshay, 26, and Hrithik Baba Saheb Salunki, 19. The CCB sleuths have recovered 1.7 kilograms of gold and Rs 20,000 in cash from the accused. The CCB sleuths are yet to ascertain if the recovered gold is genuine.
The accused were operating from a building located at the Mathaji jewellery market in NT Pet.
