Sidhu targets Channi, asks Cong to pick honest CM nominee
Chandigarh: Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu launched a direct attack at his rival Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Friday and said the party must choose someone “honest and with a clean track record” - a significant choice of words on a day Channi’s nephew was arrested for corruption.
Sidhu also stressed that any chief minister choice should have the backing of at least 60 MLAs.
“If you choose someone devoid of moral authority, devoid of ethics or someone who is dishonest and part of some corruption and mafia, then people will vote for change and bury you like a mooli,” Sidhu told a TV channel in an interview. (Agencies)
