Mysuru: 4 Minister for large and medium scale industries Murugesh Nirani said the BJP will come to power again by winning more than130 seats in the next assembly elections in Karnataka.

When asked about discussions on a change of CM before the polls, he said, “Basavaraj Bommai is doing very well. Our central leader Mr Amit Shah has already made it clear that he will continue as CM till the 2023 assembly elections. There won’t be any change in this. Reports of discussions in this regard are only rumours,” he said.

On the Cabinet expansion, Mr Nirani said, “It is prerogative of the CM. No MLA or minister is strong enough to decide on this. Leaders at the Centre and in the state are doing it. We will abide by whatever they decide.”

On the establishment of the third peeta of the Panchamashaali community, he said, “it is only to ease the pressure on the swamy jis of two peetas, and make sure they are more available to a larger number of people of the community. If there are 2,000 weddings, Hariharananda Swamy ji in Davanagere alone cannot attend all the weddings. I am not involved in it. I have not participated in their preliminary meeting either. But personally I feel it is good, as the swamyjis would be more accessible and available to people,” he said.

On Friday minister Mr Nirani visited various industrial areas of Mysuru including the Infosys area, Hebbal Industrial Area (IA), Koorgalli IA, Kadakola IA, Kochanahalli IA, Immavu IA, Womens park 1 and 2, Thandya 1st and 2nd stage, Nanjangud IA 1st and 2nd stage, Asian Paints plant, BEML housing land, the unutilized 100 acres land of Shapurji Pallonji and unutilised land of Opto Circuits SEZ.
